About Us
Hi my name is Amanda my mother Mayra and I have always enjoyed making jewelry and necklaces ever since I was a young girl. My favorite gifts used to be the pre-made gift packs that you could make all types of bracelets and necklaces from.
In high school I decided I wanted to pick it up again and try to sell them and for a bit I did. My mother helped me get all of the supplies and we had some great times making new jewelry together just like when I was younger. When I went to college I stopped making them due to lack of time. However my mother now being an empty nester had more time to finally take more time in this hobby she loved. She’s made some really great pieces so we’ve teamed up again to make this website to showcase her great work.

My mother was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She taught me to love the island just as much as she does. The word Boricua is a Spanish slang word for Puertorican. Thats how we came up with the name BoriBeads for our brand!
